A Surface Pattern Designer Behind Our Classic Joey Design and All-New Silvan Design. Janine Lecour is an Atlanta-based digital pattern designer who loves to design vibrantly colored, exuberant patterns. Mixing bold pattern motifs with eye-catching color palettes, she strives to create a whimsical art experience. Something that gives the viewer a sense of joy and optimism.
This Joey design, with its cheery color-blocking and floral details, is cuddly and sweet. But do not be mistaken: these baby koalas pack power. Adorned in a landscape of soft sage, lavender and teal, this Joey sits right upfront and reminds us that the time to be present is now.

The Silvan wraps a golden-hour forest scene — woodpeckers, badgers, and grasshoppers moving through warm oranges and pinks — across a sleek, low-profile everyday sneaker. Earthy and luminous, with unexpected flashes of teal that bring the whole design to life. True to size, a wearable forest escape.

Creating is just second nature at this point and the best way for me to express myself. There are a multitude of things that I get inspired by; sometimes it is the challenge of the project or an interesting color palette/theme.
Creating is just second nature!

I primarily create my patterns digitally in Illustrator. But recently, I've started exploring different mediums, like textile arts and embroidery.
